Suggested Items
In this article, we are going to go over how to use Suggested Items in Essentials. This option allows you to view or select the suggested items for the currently selected item. When setting up the suggested items, the quantity you enter will be the default quantity when this item is rented. You will have the option to automatically apply it to the contract or choose if you want to include it. If you rent two of the current items, then the default quantity will be two times the number you entered.

Setup Process
- To set up Suggested Items, go to Inventory > Inventory and select the items to which you want to add Suggested Items.
- Once you are in the Edit Inventory Screen, click on Suggested Items
- To add items, you can type or scan an item. Once you find that item, click on Add Item.
- Once you click on Add Item, you can choose the Type, Quantity, Discount, and, if applicable, a Group Name. If you already have a group on the item, you can choose that group to keep your items together.
- Determine the Type:
- Optional – This will allow you to choose the item if the customer would like to have that item on their contract.
- Automatic – This will automatically add the item to the contract.
- Choose One - This will allow you to select one item from the list. Our Recommendation is to place those items in a Group so that they are organized.
- Once you are complete, click on Confirm. This will add the item to the list. Repeat the process for all the items that you want to add.
- You can also reorder your items as well by clicking on the sort order and picking a number.
Type Definitions
- Optional – This will allow you to choose the item if the customer would like to have that item on their contract.
- Automatic – This will automatically add the item to the contract.
- Choose One - This will allow you to select one item from the list. Our Recommendation is to place those items in a Group so that they are organized.
Adding on a Contract
When you start to place the item on the contract, you will be able to select the items that you need. Automatic Items will appear with a Check box and will be applied to the contract automatically.
From the Online Storefront
Your customers can select items from your Front-end Storefront as well.
