More Information / FAQ
Q: What happens if I forget to assign Role Access or Depot Access when creating a user?
A: The user will not see assigned resources or may be unable to sign in to some areas. Assign the necessary Role Access and Depot Access in the user record, then have the user sign out and back in.
Q: Can I bulk delete users?
A: No. Bulk removal of global users is not supported. You can use Administration > Bulk Update > Remove Staff Member for certain status changes, but global unlink/delete should be performed individually and with caution.
Q: Why can’t I see the Create Global User button?
A: The Create Global User option is available in Syrinx versions 4.41.1 or later. If you run an earlier version, upgrade or consult your system admin for guidance. Also verify you have sufficient admin privileges.
Q: How do I confirm that a user is fully removed?
A: Refresh Syrinx 365 and verify the user no longer appears as current or linked in the Logon Users grid, and confirm the global user is unlinked in Amend Staff Member Details.
Q: Should I disable or delete users?
A: When possible, prefer disabling or clearing the Is Staff Member flag to retain historical data. Only delete/unlink if you are certain there are no system dependencies and deletion aligns with your data retention policies.
SME Clarifications & Suggested Visuals

- Provide example of the email invitation text that users receive after global user creation (include subject line and expected sender).
- Supply the actual screenshots for the three suggested images so the article contains inline visuals rather than placeholders.
- Clarify the meaning of “refresh Syrinx 365” in your environment (application refresh vs. server/service restart).
Version note: Global user creation requires Syrinx version 4.41.1 or later. If you are uncertain which version you run, check Help > About in your Syrinx instance or contact your IT team.
