Syrinx^® - RouteSavvy




Overview: This guide is designed to help you with using the RouteSavvy feature within Syrinx.

 

When you are creating a new site address within Syrinx, you will see next to the Latitude and Longitude a button that says ‘Get.’

 

 

If you click on this, your browser will be launched and a pin of the location will be dropped.

 

 

 

If you close the browser down, you will then see that the GPS coordinates are populated.
 

To use the RouteSavvy feature, you need to go into Workshop > Contract Servicing > Enter Note. From here you can create your service run. Once you have created your service run, you can then optimise the route.

 

When you click Optimise Route, RouteSavvy will be launched.

 

You can shuffle the route around by dragging the blue tiles into the order of preference. Hovering over the tiles will give more info on the address. Clicking on a pin on the map will highlight the tile. The colour will change from blue to orange.

 

Once you have finished, click Update Map and close the RouteSavvy screen. The New sequence will have flowed through to Syrinx.

 

Notes

• Only enter addresses into the lines of a site address. Use the directions box for any notes. Entering non address info can confuse the RouteSavvy integration.
• All sites must have a latitude and longitude. Without this RouteSavvy will error.
• When scheduling the jobs through the Driver Scheduler, you must schedule the whole contract service note in one go. If you start splitting this out, then you will lose the benefit of the route optimisation.
