Sage 50 Accounts Upgrade – Transfer Tool Update

The Transfer Tool to Sage 50 functions correctly when the version of Sage 50 matches with the version mentioned in the Transfer Tool.
When Sage releases a new version, for example, from v27 to v28 or v28 to v29, the Transfer Tool will also require an update as it needs to connect to the new version of Sage. 

To update the Transfer Tool to Sage 50, you will need to do the following:

1. Download the latest version of the Transfer Tool: https://www.syrinxusers.co.uk/#/Transfer%20Tools/
   Username: download

2. You will experience 1 of 2 scenarios, depending on your current version of the Transfer Tool.
   
   1. Older Version of Transfer Tool
      1. If you are on an older version of the Transfer Tool and run the latest version of the installer, you can run the installer and select ‘Install’. If this is the case, please skip to Step 3.
         
         
         
   2. Latest Version of Transfer Tool
      1. If your current Transfer Tool version already matches with the latest, you will be
         advised to uninstall your current Transfer Tool, as per the below screenshot.
         
         
         Once this has been uninstalled, you should then see a ‘Completed’ message, as
         per the below screenshot:
         
         
         Click ‘Close’ and run the ‘InstallAccountsTransfer.exe’ installer again and you should then be able to click ‘Install’. You can now move on to Step 3.
         
         
         
         
3. You must now select the Accounting System to which you wish to connect the Transfer Tool. When selecting Sage 50, you have to make sure you select the one matching your Sage 50 Accounts. For example, if you have upgraded to Sage 50 v28, you must select Sage 50 v28 from the drop-down.
   
   
   
4. Continue with the setup; it should be successfully installed. Select ‘Finish’ to complete the setup.
   
   
   
5. The Transfer Tool will now be updated to match your Sage 50 Accounts version. No further setup is required.
   
   
   

If you're still missing the Transfer Tool

Follow the below instructions if you're still missing the Transfer Tool after following the above steps. 

1. Go to Control Panel and select Uninstall a Program
   
   
   
2. On here, select Accounts Transfer and then Change and finally, Repair.
