Invoicing
|
Business Area Token When Emailing Invoices - You can now use a |3 token to substitute with the business area name in the Email Subject and/or body on the "Email" tab of Syrinx SP Configuration\System Options\Invoicing: This is applicable only when emailing from the "Review/Print Invoice Batch" screen, as batches are created for a specific depot or region (having the same business area). When emailing from the "Email Invoices" screen, the token will be substituted with an empty string as multiple business areas could potentially be linked to the invoices being emailed. |

Purchasing
|
Posting Dates Mandatory if Enabled - If the existing "Enter Posting Dates?" option has been enabled against the Accounting entry linked to the Syrinx system, users will no longer be able to confirm a purchase invoice if the "Posting Date" value has been left blank on the "Enter Purchase Invoice" screen. The system will also verify that this value has been set when the user presses the "Confirm" or "Confirm All" buttons from the "Enter Purchase Invoices" screen for systems that use a two-step purchase invoice confirmation process. |

Default All Contracts and Advice Notes to DRC Tax Codes - A new "Default Use DRC?" option has been added to the "Defaults" tab of Syrinx SP Configuration\System Options\Contract Entry as well as "Advice Notes (2)" tab of System Options\Advice Notes: With these new options enabled, all contracts and sales advice notes will be raised with the "Default to DRC?" option enabled. Items added to those contracts/advice notes will use applicable DRC tax codes as per the existing behaviour for the "Default to DRC?" option. Users will be now be issued the below warning if they attempt to enable the "Default Use DRC?" hire contract default option if they have the system-level default operated tax codes and/or customer level operated tax codes set to DRC tax codes as these settings can conflict with each other and it is not advisable to use these options in conjunction with one another: “Syrinx has been configured with a default operated tax code that will override this option. Are you sure you want to continue?” Users will also no longer be able to set the system default tax code to a DRC tax code as they will no longer appear in the dropdown menu for this setting and users should use these new options if the majority of their company's business is subject to DRC tax schemes. Note: Loss/Damage Notes and Contract Charge Notes will default to the "Default to DRC?" setting value on the hire contract to which they are linked and will not be subject to the Advice Note "Default to DRC?" option. |

This information was previously displayed in the Customer's Audit Log entries for private pricing agreements linked to a specific customer. Those log entries created prior to 4.39.6 will remain on the customer record and any new changes to the pricing agreement will be recorded on the pricing agreement "Audit Log". As in previous versions, the system will mostly audit changes to the "General" tab only. The only new audit entry will be to record when an agreement is changed from private to shared or vice versa. |
