Assign User Roles in Essentials
| ℹ️ All employees must have unique email addresses. Password reset links expire after 24 hours. |
Existing Employee
- Go to People > Employees.
- Click the blue pencil to edit a user and update their role (Admin, Supervisor, Counter).
New Employee
- Click New Employee to create a new user.
- Enter a username to unlock the Role field.
Use Manage Employee Roles in Essentials (Enterprise Only)
- Go to People > Manage Employee Roles.
- Use Basic Mode to create or edit a custom role.
- Select a base role and adjust access using checkboxes and tooltips.
- Exclude permissions as needed and name the role clearly.
More Information / FAQ
- Q: Why can’t I assign a role when creating a new user?
A: The username must be entered first to enable the Role field.
- Q: Can users log in after 24 hours if the password reset wasn’t used?
A: No. They’ll need a new reset link.
- Q: What’s the difference between standard roles and Manage Employee Roles?
A: Standard roles are fixed. Manage Employee Roles allows detailed control via permission checkboxes.
