Credit Card Authorization
Credit card authorization, also known as pre-authorizations, is a temporary hold on a customer’s credit card that typically lasts around five days, or until the post-authorization (or “settlement”) comes through.
In Essentials, you can do this and save the credit card information as a token by going to the contract and clicking Authorize Credit Card.
To change the authorization amount, you can click Change Auth Details and enter an amount.
If you have a credit card terminal, you can click Swipe Authorization, or you can enter the information that is required and then click Process.
