Rental Essentials can link to the TrackUnit device that you have installed on your equipment. This article will explain how to link TrackUnit to Essentials.
After you have set up your TrackUnit account and installed your TrackUnit devices on desired equipment, follow these steps to link to it in Rental Essentials.
1. In Company Configuration > Integration Configuration, turn on Use TrackUnit and populate the TrackUnit fields.
You will need to populate the tracking key in TrackUnit for this item to link to your unit from Rental Essentials. Once you have saved that information, you should be able to go back to the stock item, and click Locate this Stock Item to see the longitude and latitude of the item.
When you are in the stock tab, you can also view any linked items on TrackUnit. See below.
If you have a Google Maps API key in Point of Rental (found by going to Configuration - Front End Configuration - Google Maps API Key), you can also go to the tracking tab on the item, which will show a map of where all the serialized units are for that item group.
