Stripe fees are posted to supported accounting systems Sage via Syrinx:
Syrinx now posts Stripe fees to Sage 50, Sage 200, Access Dimensions and Access Financials, using the existing cash handling and Accounts Transfer Tool. It avoids duplicates, records posting flags and references, and allows you to retry failed postings, enabling finance to reconcile payouts confidently. Heads-up: This requires setup in Syrinx and your accounting system (accounts, nominal codes and depot mappings). This may require role/permission updates.
Accounts Transfer tool updated for Sage v33:
You can now install Sage 50 v33 through AppInstaller, enabling the use of the Accounts Transfer tool with the latest version. This helps you transfer records smoothly, ensuring that your Syrinx-to-Sage postings continue to function as before. Upgrade with confidence and avoid manual workarounds or lost postings.
Add a marketing category when creating a new customer:
When enabled in System Options, you can set a Marketing Category and sub-groups while creating new customers (Account, Prospect or Cash). This mirrors v4, helps you segment customers from day one, and respects 'Must Enter' and company type rules. Heads-up: This may require role/permission updates.
Manually enter and amend customer credit limits:
A new Accounts/Invoicing permission lets authorised users enter and amend customer credit limits directly in 'Amend Customers'. This helps you use credit limits even when your accounts package does not provide them; limits remain read-only if your accounts system sends them. Heads-up: This may require role/permission updates.
Choose which address Syrinx sends to POR Pay:
When taking payment via POR Pay, you can choose which address Syrinx passes: Main, Site, Contact or No Address. A new system option sets the default, and your selection is sent with the transaction to POR Pay for clearer customer receipts. Heads-up: This requires configuration. This may require role/permission updates.
Off-hire date changes, updates or prompt collection dates:
When you change the off-hire date/time on an unconfirmed off-hire, any collection dates in the past move forward to match, with a prompt if multiple collections are affected. Back-dated off-hire changes do not move later collections, and intentionally blank collection dates are not changed.
Legacy Off-Hire Search added to the main menu:
We have added a 'Legacy' menu item that opens the previous unconfirmed off-hire search, restoring missing functions while the new screen is improved. It uses the same privileges as v4 so your team can continue familiar workflows. Heads-up: This may require role/permission updates.
API support to add parts and labour to closed, not yet invoiced jobs:
You can now add additional parts and labour via the external AddUpdate_ServiceJobPart API to service jobs that are closed but not yet invoiced, matching the UI. The API only allows additions (no edits or deletions) and honours system options that may restrict post-close additions. Heads-up: This may require role/permission updates.
Swipe between tabs in Maui Driver App:
You can now swipe between tabs in the Driver App to navigate faster.
Maui Driver App camera flash options restored:
You can now use flash when taking equipment photos in the Driver App, with Off, On and Auto modes for low-light jobs. This helps you capture clear images on the PHOTO tab and within items, even in the dark.
Photo orientation and layout corrected in Maui Driver App:
Photos you capture in the Driver App now save with the correct orientation in portrait or landscape and display properly in lists. This helps you take usable equipment images and see neatly formatted status messages in the gallery and in Syrinx.
POR Pay: More resilient payout processing:
The POR Pay payout scheduled task now handles unexpected payout formats, such as monthly Stripe account fees, without stalling or throwing errors. Processing continues past problematic records, and duplicate batch IDs are checked to avoid repeated inserts. This helps keep payouts flowing without manual intervention.
Offhire Contract screen minimised after POR payment:
We fixed an issue where, after taking a POR payment via 'Cost' and closing the 'Cost of Hire' screen, the Offhire Contract screen was minimised, making it appear closed. You are now correctly returned to the Offhire Contract screen when you click 'Close'.
Multi-contract partial offhires timing out on large databases:
We fixed an issue where creating or opening multi-contract partial offhires could time out on large databases, including when viewing the 'Xhire' tab. The system now creates the partial offhire and shows its details in the 'Partially Offhire Contract' screen as expected. Note: This requires 'Multi-Contract Offhires?' to be set to 'All Account Customers' and may require role/permission updates.
Trip down memory lane
In this section, we will loop back to something released a while back and highlight a feature that maybe has been forgotten about, we weren't aware of it, and a reminder that there could be functionality available that may just improve your workflow or your day.
When emailing a hire contract or confirmation note, you send a Quiklink from Syrinx 365 which will allow the recipient to click on the link and open up a summary of the hire contract and, if enabled, access documents about the items on the contract, service certificates and safety instructions, more information is in the knowledge article here, Sending a Quiklink from Syrinx 365
