This article will give you a brief overview of our Rental Essentials mobile app.

Do you deliver and/or pick up inventory and want your drivers to be able to go completely paperless? We have a solution for you.
We have a mobile app that can be downloaded from your Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
- Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/point-of-rental-essentials/id1037438348
- Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pointofrental.essentials.app
Our app now includes Delivery, Send Out and Quick Receive functions. This can be very useful for selecting a serialized piece of stock in the yard with the customer before they leave. You can also quickly check in with customers from your phone.
The app supports Bluetooth-connected barcode readers and the camera built into your phone. Simplify and press the barcode icon to launch the camera-based scanner. If you are using a Bluetooth barcode reader, you can find a contract by scanning the barcode on the receipt, rental ticket, or bottom of the contract. You can also scan an item to add it before sending it out or to receive it automatically.
You can also search manually by name, contract number, etc.
The delivery/pickup function remains the same with the addition of the ability to use Google Maps for the directions to the delivery and pickup sites. You can also mark items delivered and/or picked up from the delivery/pickup option.
With Quick Send Out, you can find a contract using the search or by scanning the barcode found at the bottom of the contract, on the ticket, or on the receipt. When you start typing into the search box, automatic scanning is disabled until you click the green button.
Once you select a contract, you can add and remove items. Slide left to delete something. Click Send Out to finish.
The mobile app gives you the option to perform a partial receive. You have the option to recalculate the amount owed for those items received.
If you're on site and an item comes back damaged or lost, you can also mark the item as damaged or lost and add the item to maintenance from the mobile app.
The app also gives you the option to collect payment on site.
