BI CVW DispatchAnalysis – Overview

 

Purpose:

This view provides a detailed record of all dispatch activities, including deliveries and pickups, across all routes. It helps operations, logistics, and management track performance, monitor timeliness, and analyze efficiency of staff, vehicles, and routes.

 

What’s Included:

Dispatch Details:

  • Action type (Delivery or Pickup).

  • Dispatcher assigned to the trip.

  • Operator and driver associated with the route.

  • Route number, trip name, and truck used.

  • Item information including quantity, type, cubic size, and weight.

  • Destination type and route sequence.

Timing & Performance:

  • Trip date, timestamp, and report date.

  • Promised vs. actual arrival and departure times.

  • Arrival and departure on-time indicators.

  • Stops, stops on-time, early, and late counts.

Item & Transaction Details:

  • Contract numbers (CNTR), item names, types, and categories.

  • Store information, division, and department for operational context.

  • Pricing and quantities for each transaction.

Route & Week Information:

  • Week, month, and year for the trip.

  • Weekday name for reporting purposes.

Refresh & Metadata:

  • [Refresh Date] to indicate when the view was last updated.

  • Consolidates data for deliveries and pickups across all trips from historical and current data.

How It Works:

  • Filters out non-rental items.

  • Filters out credits, quotes, repairs, subrentals and finance contracts.

  • Calculates on-time performance for each stop and trip.

  • Supports analysis by week, month, and year.
