Item Processing
(Multi-Store)
Whenever you select an item that is not currently located at your location, you will be warned that this item is not at this store. At this point, you have the option to process (rent or sell) the item or cancel. If you process the item, then it will be treated as this store's item for the duration of the contract, therefore, all income from the item will post at that location. If this is a reservation contract and you process the item, you will be asked if this contract will be picked up at the item's home store. IF you respond yes, then the entire contract will become that store's reservation! Under normal circumstances, you would always answer no unless you are writing a reservation for another store.
On the Item More screen there is a "Store to Display" drop-down box. If "all Stores" is selected, then all items regardless of the current store will be displayed. If a particular store number has been selected, the only items from that store will be shown. There is also a "Shared Inventory" checkbox on the Item More screen. With this box checked, all Shared Items (items with 000 in their home store) will be displayed. With this box unchecked, shared items will only show if they are currently in the store selected in the "Store to Display" box.
