Epicor profile import
The Epicor Profile is a CSV Document that must be saved in the POREpicor folder (<DataDrive>\POR\POREpicor\EpicorProfile.CSV) after enabling the Epicor Integration for a customer.
When you open the file, it will show five columns as seen below:
The Epicor Profile has two parts:
- The first two rows are the configuration settings for account and cash customers; this setting will determine when a transaction passes data to Epicor, which is defined in the last column as “0” for Closed, “1” for Open & Closed, or “2” for Open, Closed & Reservation.
- The remaining rows are the terminals that are configured to use the integration.
- Terminal – POR RDP Login Name
- LocalIPAddress – The Servers IP Address
- RemoteIPAddress – The Terminal IP Address
- FileAddress – Includes an explanation for the clerktext field
- ClerkText – Normally the same as the Terminal ID
To get the Terminal Name/IP Address
On the local side, right-click on the RDP and click Edit.
In the General tab look for the Username. If one does not exist, then log in with the username you normally use for Point of Rental:
Local IP Address
To get the IP address of the server, go to W > Run and type in CMD. From there you will type in ‘ipconfig’ and press enter, and you will get the IP Address. Look for the IPv4 and write it down.
Remote IP Address
To get the IP address of the local computer, go to W > Run and type in CMD. From there you will type in ‘ipconfig’ and press enter, and you will get the IP Address. Look for the IPv4 and write it down.
Input the Items in the CSV
On the server, open up the EpicorProfile CSV file and place the information you got in the file. See below for an example.
Save the CSV and close the Excel program.
Import File
Go to <Data Drive>\POR\Program\POREpicor.exe
Once the program opens, go to Setup > Update Epicor Profile.
You will get a message that will allow you to delete and import new configurations from C:\POR\POREpicor\EpicorProfile.CSV. Click yes.
When it is complete, you will get this message.
Verify
To check to make sure it is imported, click on Setup > View Epicor Profile.
This will bring up the Data Explorer of the items that you imported.
Checking if Epicor can see the server and terminal
