Our development team has been working hard and working overtime to come up with some really great features that have been asked for by you. We love our customers, so we have made the changes you have asked for. We have marked those features so that you know they came from you.

Membership program

A membership tier may be configured.

A membership tier may be applied to a customer record.

Memberships may be set up with discounts on rentals, sales items, and on the required deposit.

A cap may be set for the maximum number of current contracts for a single customer to which the discount applies.

When a customer has the membership on the customer record, contracts written for that customer (whether from the storefront or counterside) automatically apply the appropriate discounts per the membership.

The membership discounts are shown on the contract.

Memberships may be set with start and end dates if they are not perpetually valid. These are not required to be populated.

The ability to apply a membership to a customer record is controlled by the role ROLE_ASSIGN_MEMBERSHIP, which is automatically given to counter employees. It may be changed using custom roles.

To configure a membership, go to People > Memberships > + New Membership

To add a membership to a customer, go to edit Customer, Membership Level, and Select Dropdown. The membership discounts will be applied to new contracts written for that customer.

We enhanced the SmartEquip integration with the ability to search for parts based on the serial number of an item.

We fixed a defect in which a payment taken in one store would not show on the contract when output from another store.

We fixed an issue in which kit components that should be shown as part of the kit were not shown on the reservation confirmation screen in a multi-store storefront.

We fixed a defect in which the availability calculation was incorrect for the availability of a kit based on its constituent components.

On the Pricing configuration, we enhanced the column display to make it clear which column header corresponds with which price value.
Note on Storefront Changes
We are constantly working to improve the user experience, performance, and visual layout of the Point of Rental Storefront service. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the user experience, we have identified necessary structural changes to the Storefront HTML that include a high chance of impacting Custom CSS layouts. If you have Custom CSS, please follow the steps below to make sure you are not impacted.
