BI CVW ItemsOffRent – Overview

Purpose:

This view provides a snapshot of items that are currently off rent, showing how long each item has been unavailable and the estimated revenue lost. It is useful for operations, finance, and management to track rental downtime and potential lost revenue.

What’s Included:

• Item Info:
  

  • Item name, key, number, header, and category.

  • Contract associated with the off-rent item.

• Timing Metrics:
  

  • Off Rent Date: The date the item was last due or became unavailable.

  • Days Unavailable: Number of days the item has been off rent.

  • Total Days: Cumulative downtime for tracking purposes.

• Financial Metrics:
  

  • Lost Revenue: Estimated revenue lost due to the item being off rent, calculated using daily rates and quantity.

How It Works:

• Excludes canceled, archived, or certain contract types.

• Calculates days off rent as the difference between the off-rent date and today.

• Calculates lost revenue using the daily rate from the item master file or the transaction daily amount.

• Provides a clean summary for each item, grouped by item and contract.

Uses:

• Identify items that are tied up or unavailable for rental.

• Monitor potential revenue impact from downtime.
