BI CVW Todays Utilization – Documentation

            

Purpose:

This view provides a snapshot of current item-level utilization for inventory, showing how many items are on rent, off rent, in repair, or in maintenance . It is primarily used for operational reporting and capacity planning.

                                            

Key Features:

  • Tracks rental status for each inventory item: On Rent, Off Rent, IRO (In Repair), IMO (Maintenance).

  • Calculates available inventory and utilization percentages.

  • Computes OEC (Original Equipment Cost) per item and apportions it across rental statuses.

  • Consolidates category, division, and type information for reporting and analysis.

  • Filters for active, rentable item types only.

Unique identifier for the inventory item.

Item Name

Name of the item.

Header

Item grouping or hierarchy information.

Item Key

Internal item key for reference.

Category Name

Inventory category for reporting.

DivisionName

Division or business unit the item belongs to.

Item Name

Item Name.

ItemType

Item type code.

TypeDescrip

Text description of the item type.

Qty Owned

Total quantity of the item owned.

OnRent

Number of items currently rented out.

OffRent

Number of items off rent but available.

IRO

Items currently in repair (rental).

IMO

Items currently in maintenance.

Available

Qty Owned minus OnRent – items available for rental.

Utilization

OnRent divided by Qty Owned – measures rental usage.

OEC

Original Equipment Cost per item.

CurrentStore

Store where the item is currently located.

HomeStore

Assigned home store for the item.

Priceeach

OEC per unit of the item (used for OEC allocation).

OECOnRent

OEC value of items currently on rent.

OECOffRent

OEC value of items off rent.

OECIMO

OEC value of items in maintenance.

OECIRO

OEC value of items in repair.

OECAvail

OEC value of items available for rent.

Notes:

  • Only includes active, rental item types.

  • Excludes inactive items and unusually large quantities (Qty < 90,000).
