Exporting/Importing Documents to Desktop in POR Cloud Hosted Elite
How to Upload files to POR
- In the top right of the POR Web Portal, click the up arrow. This will open File Explorer on the workstation, NOT the POR server.
- In the file explorer, navigate to the desired file. In this example it will be This PC > C:\ > POR.
- Double-click the file to be uploaded to the POR SERVER. In this example, it is the TEST.txt file.
Attaching Saved Files to Contracts
- Navigate to the contract you want to attach the newly saved file to, and click Attachments > Add > Set File.
- Navigate to This PC > Remote Desktop Virtual Drive on RDWebClient > Uploads. All newly uploaded files will be moved to this folder on the POR Server.
- Double-click the file that you wish to be uploaded to the contract.
How to Download Files From the POR Server
- Open the report or other file you wish to download to the local workstation used to access POR. In this example, it will be the Top Items report.
- On the top left of the screen, click the Export Report icon.
- This will open the File Explorer for the POR SERVER. In File Explorer, Navigate to This PC > Remote Desktop Virtual Drive on RDWebClient > Downloads
- Name the report as desired and click Save.
- You will see the following Window appear. Click “Confirm” to open File Explorer on the workstation being used to access POR.
- In the workstation File Explorer, navigate to the folder or network drive you intend to save the exported document to. In this example the path is This PC > C:\ > POR.
- Click Save.
- Now, the file has been saved to the specified path on your workstation. NOTE: If you are using Adobe to view PDFs, click Menu > Save As > Choose a different folder. Then, go back to step 3 in the “How to Download” section.
