Cash Drawer (Add/Withdraw)
Occasionally money has to be added or withdrawn from the cash drawer without debiting or crediting sales. For example, suppose the drawer is so full that it won't close. If so, you may need to run to the bank and make a deposit or withdrawal, without having to close for the day. Note: the preferred method is to use the Deposit Slip option. The add cash option may be used to account for money going into the drawer for something that is not a sale, such as money collected.

Add/Withdraw cash menu
Go to Counter System > Tools > Add/Withdraw.
This will require a user ID and password if selected. If you did not enter a password or entered an invalid one, you will only be allowed to select Add Cash.
If either of the Add Cash options has been selected, you will be asked to enter the amount of the added cash. If you have selected Withdraw Cash/Checks, you will be asked to enter the amount that is being withdrawn. The total added or withdrawn amount will then be displayed.
Add cash
This allows you to enter the amount of cash to be added to the drawer.
Add cash reduce bank deposits
This will allow you to add cash to your drawer and reduce the amount of the bank deposit. This normally happens when an incorrect amount is entered as part of the End of Day deposit. You can add cash back to the drawer, telling Point of Rental you have this money and lowering the amount you said you deposited at the bank. The adjustment will appear in the next batch.
Withdraw cash/checks
This allows you to enter an amount to remove cash from the drawer.
