Data Management Tools | Damage Waiver Change
This article will discuss making a mass damage waiver change using Data Management Tools. This tool allows you to make a mass change to Damage Waiver by Division or Category, and change the percentage amount. You should always do this in the "Training Database" or in "Training Mode" BEFORE you work with live data. Damage waiver changes may be necessary if the damage waiver percentage charge has either decreased or increased. To use this feature, you must have a license for the Database Management Tool module.

Accessing the Training Database or Training Mode
In Expert, press the Training Database checkbox in the Program Menu.
In Elite, before you sign in, press the Training Mode check box.
Expert: Program Menu > Database Management > Data Management Tools
Elite: Left Menu > Tools > Database Management > Data Management Tools
Updating Damage Waiver
Before following the below steps in your live data, you should FIRST do this in the "Training Database" or in "Training Mode."
1. After you enter your credentials, press option 3. Damage Waiver Change.
2. You can select a Division and/or Category from the drop-down menus, or leave them at all divisions and categories.
3. Enter the new damage waiver percent in the NEW DW% Field. This will determine your selection criteria. You can also manually enter the old damage waiver % in the Old DW% box.
There is also a checkbox for All Items; this will reflect the change on all item records.
4. After you verify your Division, Category, Old DW%, and New DW%, press Go. The system will update item records. You will get a pop-up window letting you know the process is done.
5. Press OK.
