ESign - Backside Legal

Step 1.  Create the Terms and Conditions or Backside Legalese document

Step 2. Create a new Laser Contract Format

Step 3.  Go to Configuration > System Configuration > Parameters > Contracts Folder.

Step 1.  Create the Terms and Conditions or Backside Legalese document for the eSign and save file on the server as an RTF file.

  • Go to Configuration > System Configuration > Laser Contract Formats > ID > Edit Contract Attachment at the bottom left corner.
  • Click on the Backside Legal Tab
  • Try to copy the information from the .rtf document and paste it directly into the backside legal box. This may not come across 100% formatted, but minor adjustments can be made in that screen to help.

If you are still experiencing issues, copy the .RTF into WordPad.  You can adjust the formatting in the WordPad doc, then copy from WordPad and paste it into the backside legal box.

Often what happens, is that the .RTF the customer receives was created in Microsoft Word. Word uses embedded/hidden formatting that by copying and pasting into WordPad will allow adjusting that formatting.

    ALTERNATIVE METHOD
  • Go to Configuration > System Configuration > Laser Contract Formats > ID > Edit Contract Attachment at the bottom left corner.
  • Click on the Backside Legal Tab and load the file by clicking on the three little dots.
  • A windows explorer window will open so that you can find your saved document.  Once selected click OK, then select load.

send an eSign.

Step 3.  Go to Configuration > System Configuration > Parameters > Contracts Folder.
