Manual Compact Database for Expert (JET only)
This guide will walk you through manually compacting your JET database. Data compactions are typically performed when you're constantly reaching the database size limit, encounter white screens, or have slowness issues. This does not apply to users on Expert SQL or Rental Elite.
- You must also have a Regional Manager password level or higher perform one.
- In order to complete a compaction all users must be out of the software.
Performing a compaction
- Go to the Program Menu > Database Management > Tools > Compact Database.
- A warning message will appear. Press "Yes".
- You'll be prompted to enter your password.
Important! You must have everyone out of the software and have a Regional Manager’s password level or higher in order to complete this step.
- After entering your password, the system will perform the compact. This may take up to 10 minutes.
- The message will disappear when it's finished. At this point, you and other users can get back into the software.
