Set Up Moneris Payment Integration in Point of Rental

Learn how to configure Moneris terminals in Point of Rental so you can securely process customer credit card payments.

Prepare Your Moneris Credentials

Before beginning setup in Point of Rental, gather the following information. You may need to contact your IT team or Moneris Support (866-319-7450) to obtain these details:

  • Store ID
  • Hosted Token Profile ID
  • API Token
  • Terminal ID (TID)
  • Vault TID (used for secure storage)

Important: If your organization has multiple locations, each will have a unique Store ID. Ensure you are logged into the correct Moneris account for the store you're setting up.

Retrieve Moneris Credentials

Store ID

  1. Go to https://www3.moneris.com
  2. Locate the Store ID at the top of the dashboard

Hosted Token Profile ID

  1. Log into https://www3.moneris.com/mpg
  2. Go to Admin > Hosted Card Tokenization
  3. Click Create Profile
  4. Copy the Profile ID displayed at the bottom
  5. Paste this into POR > Parameters > API Token

API Token

  1. Go to https://www3.moneris.com/mpg/index.php
  2. Navigate to Admin > Store Settings
  3. Copy and save the API Token

Terminal ID (TID) and Vault TID

  1. Navigate to Reports > Batches
  2. Locate your Terminal ID (match against physical device label)
  3. Find the Vault TID (does not include a “P” under Reports > Batches)

Configure Store Parameters in POR

Note: This must be completed by POR IT Support and only after End-of-Day (EOD) processing is complete — or if no credit card transactions have been processed at the location.

After completing all setup steps, contact POR IT to activate the integration and complete final testing.

Add Terminals in POR

  1. Go to Program Menu > Security > VeriFone Terminals
  2. Click Add
  3. Complete the fields based on terminal type:

Standard Terminal

  • Description: MON-XXX (last 3 digits of Terminal ID)
  • Terminal ID: [Enter ID]
  • Integration: Moneris CA or Moneris Vault
  • API Token: Paste your API Token
  • Postback URL: https://pormoneris.azurewebsites.net/

Vault Terminal

Onscreen Terminal

  • Description: MON-Onscreen-Str#
  • Terminal ID: [Enter ID]
  • Integration: Moneris CA or Moneris Vault
  • API Token: Paste your API Token
  • Postback URL: https://pormoneris.azurewebsites.net/
  • No pairing required

Pair Terminals

Option A: Using Moneris Website

  1. Visit https://www3.moneris.com
  2. Click Pair next to the terminal
  3. After 5 seconds, the Ingenico IPP320 device will display a pairing token

Option B: From Within POR

  1. Go to Program Menu > Security > VeriFone Terminals
  2. Select the terminal and click Pair

Assign Terminals to Users

You can assign terminals through either User Profiles or Operator Information.

Elite Interface

  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right
  2. Select Security from the left menu
  3. Click User Profiles
  4. Select a user’s name to open the Printer/Card window
  5. Click Advanced
  6. Click Modify
  7. Choose the correct terminal from the dropdown
  8. Click OK

Expert Interface

  1. Go to Program Menu > Security > User Profiles
  2. Click the user’s name
  3. In the Printer window, click Advanced
  4. Click Modify
  5. Choose the correct terminal from the dropdown
  6. Click OK

  2. Select Printer Selection
  3. Click the Advanced tab
  4. Click Modify
  5. Select the terminal from the dropdown

More Information / FAQ

What happens if I configure the store parameters before EOD?

Configuring store parameters before End of Day may interfere with existing transactions. Always wait until EOD has completed or no credit card activity has occurred.

Do I need to pair Onscreen Terminals?

No. Onscreen terminals do not require pairing. Simply complete the setup steps and click OK.

What if I have multiple locations?

Each location has its own Store ID and credentials. Ensure you are logged into the correct Moneris account and configure terminals accordingly.

Where do I paste the Postback URL?

Paste https://pormoneris.azurewebsites.net/ into the Postback URL field during terminal setup in POR.

Who should I contact if I can’t find my API Token?

Retrieve it under Admin > Store Settings in the Moneris portal, or contact Moneris Support at 866-319-7450.
