Parts Lookup
This article will discuss Parts Look Up. This option allows you to search for parts from various manufacturers. The parts are looked up by item part number. Depending on the information provided by the manufacturer, you can search parts by item part number, item description, list price, purchase price, and superseding part number. You can only view items from up to 20 manufacturers at a given time. If the item record exists in your inventory, the inventory name, sell price, quantity on hand, quantity on order, and quantity sold for the current month, year, and lifetime will be displayed. You can select from the various manufacturers available by clicking on the radio button (the circle) in front of the manufacturers name. Expert: Program Menu > Item Availability > Item Availability > Select an item > Parts Look Up tab

Add to Inventory - If the item is currently not in your inventory, you can click on this option to add the currently displayed item to your inventory. All the fields the manufacturer has available will be filled in on the new item record. You can change or add any other information that you desire before saving the new record.
Search Part # - Use this search field to enter the part number for the item you are searching for.
