Automatic IMO

Overview

When configuring item maintenance, you have the option for the system to automatically create an IMO at the closing of a contract when the item is due for said task. This is not recommended for maintenance that is done regularly, such as a standard service upon return. It is used more for critical tasks, such as annual inspections or registrations. This ensures these tasks are completed.

Setting up automatic IMOs

1. Go to File Maintenance > Item File > Maintenance > Item Maintenance Schedules and add the information for the task that needs to be completed, such as an inspection or registration.

2. When closing a contract with the item, you will be notified of any maintenance that is due.

3. Choose whether to print the To-do file. If a To-do list has not been defined, this message will not appear.

4. An IMO will automatically be created and can be found under the IMO tab in Day at a Glance.

5. Edit the Internal Maintenance order as usual and close it when finished.

6. From the Counter System menu, click Tools > Maintenance Due. Check the box of the maintenance to be cleared. Once the box has been selected, the service box will be highlighted to enter the person who completed the service. Click on the select button to enter the service person. You can also enter in any reading numbers and comments for this maintenance.

7. After the information has been entered, the maintenance will be completed and drop off the maintenance due list. The maintenance will no longer show that it is due in the item file.
