BI CVW Totals Summary Sales – Overview

Purpose:

This view provides a monthly sales summary by store, including revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and new sales contracts. It is designed to give management a concise view of store sales performance over time. It is based on Posted data.

What’s Included:

• Date Info:
  

  • Date of record, Year, Quarter, Month, and Month Name.
    
    

• Store Info:
  

  • Store identifier for which the summary applies.
    
    

• Sales Metrics:
  

  • Sales Revenue: Total revenue generated from sales transactions.

  • COGS (Cost of Goods Sold): Total cost associated with items sold (purchase price plus extra charges multiplied by quantity).

  • New Contracts: Number of new sales contracts created in the period (excluding certain statuses).
    
    

How It Works:

• Aggregates data by year, month, and store from multiple tables:
