Barcode Use for Mobile Workforce



Overview

This article will go over the how to use the Barcode Function in Mobile Workforce.


In Mobile Workforce, you can scan barcodes to look up items on contracts. This will only work for Android devices. This is not applicable to Apple products. For android devices, there is a keyboard application with barcode scanning feature that you can use. The app that has been tested with Point of Rental. It is called "Barcode & QR Code Keyboard". You can download the keyboard from the Google Play Store.  It is a free app to use but it does have pop-up ads. Below is the link.

In Mobile Workforce, you can use either Search by Contract or By Item. Under the search options will be the barcode radio button to select. Then make sure the cursor is in the search field. Then use the barcode image on the keyboard to scan the barcode. Next, press the search button once the barcode is scanned.
