How to Access the Desired Deposit
Counter System > Quote > Desired Deposit
On the contract processing screen, you’ll find a field labeled “Desired Deposit.” This is where you can manually enter the amount you want to require as a deposit for the rental.
Automatic Behavior
If any item on the contract has a deposit set, that amount will automatically populate the Desired Deposit field.
This feature helps standardize deposits without needing to input them manually each time.
Adjusting or Removing the Deposit
Simply set the value to 0.00 in the contract's deposit field.
Note: This action will override any automatically pulled item deposits.
Printing on the Quote
The Desired Deposit amount will appear on the printed version of your Quote, providing clear expectations to the customer. The image despayed
Integration with the Consumer Portal
For users of the Consumer Portal:
The Desired Deposit is used as the minimum amount required for payment in the portal.
This value overrides any other deposit settings configured in your Parameters's “Drawer” tab.
If your system has a “Days to Pay” setting, that logic still applies, and the minimum required will be adjusted accordingly.
| ℹ️ The Desired Deposit does not appear in the payment screen of the contract within Elite—it only affects the consumer-facing portal experience. |
