Calculations
Below are the calculations used to generate values.
- On Rent Utilization is the total units on rent divided by the Total Unit Owned (On Rent Ut = total units on rent / Total Units Owned).
- OEC Utilization or Original Equipment Cost Utilization is the original equipment cost of the units on rent divided by the total OEC of Units Owned (OECUtil = Original equipment cost of units on rent / Total OEC of units owned). Also, the reason for the $ Util is that you may have a high % of quantity rented, but when you look at the dollar value rented it could be a lot different. For example, if you owned 1 Bobcat for $10,000 and 15 keys for $1.00 each. The total quantity owned is 16. Lets say you had all 15 keys on rent. The utilization would be 93%. However the $ util would be $15 on rent / 10,015 total oec = .15%
- Dollar Utilization is the revenue of an item compared to the Original Equipment Cost of that item.
- Time Utilization is the comparison between the hours out of the items and the hours available in a period.
