More Information / FAQ
Q1: Does Point of Rental provide ParseLink software?
A: No. Customers must purchase and install ParseLink directly from IDScan before configuring integration with POR.
Q2: What if my scanner does not appear in ParseLink?
A: Ensure the QS2000 scanner is plugged into the same computer where ParseLink is installed, then reopen the Image Reader Settings under Connect a Scanner. You may also need to verify USB drivers are installed.
Q3: What if images do not display in POR?
A: First, confirm that the image files are being saved into the correct network Pictures folder and that your POR user profile points to that folder. If the path is correct, reduce image scaling in ParseLink from 50% to 25% and test again.
Q4: Does the network drive need to be mapped on every workstation?
A: Only the computer running ParseLink must be able to save to the mapped Pictures folder. However, POR workstations that need to view images and data must have read access to the same shared Pictures folder.
Q5: Should I use TXT or CSV for history logging?
A: POR requires TXT format for the history log output so that the scanned fields are interpreted correctly by the integration.
