Setting up Bobcat as a New AEMP Manufacturer
Before you start you will need your Client ID and Client Secret from Bobcat. Follow the steps below:
1. Enter https://aemp.api.bobcat.com/Fleet/1 under the Web Service URL. The URL is case-sensitive, so make sure to use a capitalized “F” in the word fleet.
2. Enter the Client ID in the Username field and Client Secret in the Password field.
3. Select AEMP 2.0 and OAuth1 radio buttons.
4. Click Save. You will receive a prompt to enter “Bobcat” as the name of your AEMP provider.
5. Click Configure Advanced Auth and enter the Client ID: in the client field and the Client Secret: in the client secret field.
6. Now click Generate Token it will then fill in the token box.
7. Click Save, then Close.
8. If successful, when you click Update on the first menu it will show the number of records imported and that should match the number of GPS units you have with Bobcat.
9. Enter the Bobcat serial number into the GPS no. in the item record and select Bobcat from the dropdown that shows up after entering a GPS no.
