How does it work on a contract?
This is done by adding an item to the contract with an Item Key that starts with "UPS" or "FEDEX." It needs to be on the contract with a $0 price. Whenever the contract is updated later (modified, closed, sent out, etc.), it will retrieve the shipping cost from Worldship, multiply it by the Vendor Markup Percentage, and display that price on the contract.
Setting up the ODBC Connection from UPS/FedEx to Point of Rental
Setting up an ODBC connection allows the UPS and FedEx software to read and write to your Point of Rental system. If you are using a cloud environment, a VPN (virtual private network) must be configured.

Shipping Module and Cloud Hosted
| ℹ️ This feature is available on Elite versions 2026.01 and above. |
Cloud-hosted customers can view UPS tracking details directly in the app via UPS APIs, avoiding blocked public links and improving reliability. Tracking information is consolidated in one place for faster follow-up. Heads-up: This requires UPS API credentials and may require role/permission updates.
For cloud-hosted customers, the clickable UPS tracking link in the Shipping Report is disabled, as the new tracking grid/API is the canonical source. Self-hosted customers see no change to the report.
