Unified Storefront: Display and Configure Used Equipment
Learn how to configure and display used equipment items in the Unified Storefront so customers can view for-sale items directly within your online storefront. This setup lets you curate categories and control the footer without custom CSS, and it includes a sandbox flow you can use to validate checkout payments.

Create the Used Equipment Menu Item
- Go to the Unified Storefront Admin Portal.
- Navigate to Configuration gear icon > ECommerce on the left side of the screen > Storefront Configuration Screen.
- Navigate to Configuration gear icon > ECommerce on the left side of the screen > Storefront Configuration Screen.
- Select Configuration in the top menu > Front End Custom Menu Setup
- Select New Top Level Menu Item.
- Enter a title, such as Used Equipment
- Select the menu item type.
- Choose Used Equipment from the Menu Item Type dropdown.
- Select Add Menu Item.
- Configure the menu display.
- Optionally add header content or a slider, or choose Make this my homepage.

- Select used equipment items to display.
- In the Used Equipment table, choose Select All or pick specific items.

- Save and reorder the menu.
- Click Save, then drag the new item to the desired position (e.g., above “All Categories”).

Display Used Equipment in the Storefront
- Open your storefront view.
- Confirm the Used Equipment link appears in the site header.

- Verify items display with descriptions and a Call for Price prompt (add-to-cart for used items is not available in this release).
- Open an item.
- From the product detail page, confirm the description and pricing prompt are visible.

Note: As of release 14, customers cannot add used equipment to the cart. They are prompted to call for price.
Customize Used Equipment Categories
- Create a parent category to group sale items.
- Add a top-level item (e.g., Sales).
- Add child categories under the parent.
- Example: Trenchers for Sale; select the specific used trenchers to include.
- Organize additional items.
- Create another child (e.g., Everything Else) and select the remaining items.

- Save and preview.
- Click Save and verify the nested categories appear under Sales in the storefront.

Enable or Disable the Default Storefront Footer
- Open Front Enf Configuration.
- Add or edit custom footer content.
- Enter HTML in the Custom Footer field.
- Hide the default footer.
- Use the toggle Hide default company footer so only your custom footer displays (no custom CSS required).

- Save and verify.
- Refresh the storefront and confirm only the custom footer is shown.

More Information / FAQ
Can customers purchase used equipment directly through the storefront?
Not yet. As of release 14, add-to-cart for used equipment isn’t available; customers are prompted to call for price. The buy flow is planned for a future release.
How do I control which used items appear?
When configuring the menu item, select specific entries from the Used Equipment table; only selected items will display.
Can I remove the default “Powered by” footer without CSS?
Yes. Enable the Hide default company footer toggle to show only your custom footer.
What qualifies an item as “used equipment” for display?
It must be a stock item in Elite marked For Sale. When marked, it can be imported and displayed in the storefront.
