Product Details “Supercharger’

We have an exciting new feature!  We know that taking the time to find and enter product information can be a real-time drain, yet we also know that it is vitally important to have a good-looking and functioning site!

So, we created the Product Detail Supercharger.  This new feature harnesses the power of AI to find and generate content on the product you select.  It is feature-wrapped, so we do need to turn it on for you (initially).  Navigate to any product in the Inventory configuration, and you'll see the Product Detail Supercharger button.  Click it and it will ask a few prompts and then use the information already loaded (manufacturer make and model is SUPER helpful) and generates the short description, an enhanced long description, specifications in the proper formatting and tags.  You'll have the chance to review the information before you hit submit, and it puts all the data in the appropriate places.

Like Google API keys, after a trial of 30 or so items, you'll be asked to put in your credentials for Chat GPT.

Defect fixes:

  • We fixed a bug in which the email customer export feature intermittently failed.

  • We fixed custom general ledger calculations so that when we calculate the discount amount, we take into account line items that do not allow discounts.

  • We fixed a bug which could prevent a storefront user from editing a reservation when the quantity already reserved is the only quantity available.

The following released in 2024.7.1

  • Fixed an issue which caused validation errors in the mobile app when scanning serialized inventory barcode.

  • Fixed an issue which caused the Transaction list with item ID report to not filter by date.

  • We fixed an issue in which countersign could push countersign documents to the incorrect device.

  • We fixed a defect which prevented ACH payments from properly working.

  • Fixed a bug that threw an internal 500 exception while trying to Remote Pay a Transactionless payment.

The following released in 2024.7.2

  • We fixed a bug in which the customer import would fail when updating existing records.
  • Fixed bug to correctly reflect the time on stock even when the stock transfers out and back in.

Note on Storefront Changes

We are constantly working to improve the user experience, performance, and visual layout of the Point of Rental Storefront service. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the user experience, we have identified necessary structural changes to the Storefront HTML that include a high chance of impacting Custom CSS layouts. If you have Custom CSS, please follow the steps below to make sure you are not impacted.

  • Review your Custom CSS
  • Please check your storefront to confirm there are no conflicts with your custom CSS
  • Make any changes needed to ensure that your designs still function as intended
  • If you need to remove any custom CSS, please find the instructions here.
