Overbooking Buffer
| ℹ️ This feature is available for Elite versions 2026.04 and above. |
How It Works
Configuring the buffers is straightforward. These buffers are measured in hours between bookings and can be set to different values or kept the same across the board.
For instance, if the policy dictates that no booking inventory from other locations can be made within three days of a reservation's start date, the overall buffer should be set at 72 hours.
If there are varying buffer hours between locations, the available quantity will be adjusted based on the largest buffer and reduced by the smallest one.
Example
-
Store 1 Qty=50
-
Store 2 Qty=25
-
Store 3 Qty=25
Store 1 to Store 2 Buffer=24 Hours
Store1 to Store 3 Buffer=72 Hours
Reservation written 7 days out from Store 1=All 100 would be bookable with no additional security override
Reservation written 3 days out from Store 1=75 would be bookable with no additional security override
Reservation written 1 day out from Store 1=50 would be bookable with no additional security override
