POR Academy

 

This article covers how to access, register for, and enroll in courses at Point of Rental Academy (POR Academy). It also covers system requirements.

 

The Point of Rental Learning & Development team is excited to introduce Point of Rental Academy. This portal offers over 200 courses, available as live training sessions or self-paced learning. Our self-paced options include videos and interactive courses designed to help you and your team gain a deeper understanding of Point of Rental software when it is convenient for you. Accessing POR Academy

POR Academy can be accessed directly from uLearn or through this link.

 

From uLearn, you can access POR Academy from the top menu. Select “Traning” and then “e-Learning.” This will take you to POR Academy, where you can continue the self-registration process. 
 

 

How to Register

You can self-register for POR Academy by clicking the "Sign Up" button in the POR Academy banner on your uLearn homepage. *Please note that the banner link to POR Academy will soon be available on the Essentials and Syrinx uLearn homepages.
 

 

Clicking the Sign Up button from the banner or selecting e-Learning from the top menu will take you to POR Academy’s home screen. From here, click “Sign Up” to create an account.
 

 

Next, Complete the Google Form.
 

 

System Requirements

The Customer Training Portal (LearnUpon) works with the browsers below. LearnUpon will support the most recent major versions and previous major versions.  When using a supported browser for LearnUpon, you may need to enable JavaScript, enable cookies, and use TLS v1.2 or later. Pop-up blockers might need to be disabled for this site as well.

 

  • Google Chrome

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Apple Safari

  • Microsoft Edge.

 Enrolling in Courses using the Catalog

Follow the steps below to enroll in courses in the catalog. 

  1. With the new catalog, you can browse and enroll in courses more easily by clicking on the Catalog at the top or in the left menu. Please note that only users who have been set as Managers can view the left menu. To learn more about Manager access, see the article POR Academy.


    • Below is the Manager view of the Catalog option in the left menu.


  2. Once selected, you can search for courses using filters like categories (blue box), sorting options (red box), and a search bar (purple box with arrow).


  3. To enroll in courses, press the Start button on any course. This will enroll you and immediately take you to the course.


  4. To view all the other courses you've started, go to the Dashboard on the left-hand menu.

Taking Control of Your Team's Training

By default, you can enroll in courses. But if you are in a managerial role with your company and would like to enroll others and track their course progress, we can change your settings to “manager” so that you can manage your group.
