Creating a Quote Contract
This article is going to talk about how to create a Quote contract, as well as how to change it to a Reservation. One way to provide an estimate to potential customers before they book a reservation is by creating a Quote contract. In Point of Rental, it is easy to make a Quote contract.

Creating a Quote
1. Once you click on Quote you will be able to enter the date out. This is for when the Quote is going to be valid.
2. Then enter the Quote time.
3. Select the items that the customer would like a quote for.
4. After you select an item you will have the ability to choose the rate and the quantity of the item as well.
5. If you would like to save or print this quote, click on Select Customer at the top of the screen and choose or create a customer.
Other Fields in a Quote Contract
Desired Deposit - This is found on the top of the Contract Screen. You can enter a desired deposit in this field. The printed contract will show the required deposit.
Probability - This is found on the Information tab of the contract. This is the estimated percentage of the contract that would become a confirmed order. This can be set on the Information tab of the Quote, or the Probability column in Day in a Glance.
Converting a Quote to a Reservation
1. Once the customer wants to move forward with the quote, you can convert it to a reservation by inquiring the contract. You can do this from several places within the program. Here are a few:
- Inquire Contract
- Day at a Glance
- Customer Dashboard
2. Once there, click on Change Status.
3. Click Change to Reservation.
3. After that is complete, click on OK on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
