New Release Notes every three weeks!

We are listening! Items with this label are a result of your suggestions in uInnovate. Please continue to share and support those ideas that help your business.
Items with this label are features that may require adjustments to security or configuration and may have implications for your operations or current workflows. We recommend reading these and understanding the impact prior to updating.

Dispatch Analysis Report: This report will give a weekly breakdown from the date selected of the deliveries by store, driver, or route. It will show revenue and cost values for deliveries and pickups. Standard report security applies. For more information, see the article Dispatch Analysis Report.

Fulfillment Analysis Report: This report will give a weekly breakdown from the date selected of the items that were processed through fulfillment, factoring in time, weight, quantity, delivery vs. will call, store, operator, and prep in/out actions.  Standard report security applies. For more information, see the article Fulfillment Analysis Report

Ready Tag Only On Completed Modification: The Ready Tag is created based on the closing of the line item. Instead of immediately creating the ‘Not Ready’ task, we wait until the modification is saved so that users don’t have to deal with ‘mistakes’ when they cancel out of the modification. To learn more about Ready Tags, see the article Ready Tags.

No Ready Tags for Transfers and Continuation Contracts:  We were creating Ready Tags on contracts when they were continuation billed and on transfers which was causing all sorts of headaches. These will no longer trigger ‘Not Ready’ tasks. To learn more about Ready Tags, see the article Ready Tags.

Quantity Fields in Item Availability:  We have updated the definitions of the quantity fields in Item Availability to more accurately reflect what they represent. Hovering over the labels will reveal a tooltip with the field definition or they can be accessed in uLearn. You can see the field definitions in this article, Item Availability

Quantity = Total quantity owned.

Quantity Out = Quantity currently on open transactions.

  • Rental - Package Items = Not applicable.

  • Rental - Dynamic Qty = Quantity of the actual Rental - Dynamic Qty item on rent

Available Quantity = Quantity available for use, calculated as the difference between the total owned and the quantity out on open transactions.

  • Rental - Dynamic Qty and Rental - Package Items, availability reflects how many complete kits can be assembled based on the availability of the components.

On Order = Quantity on Open Purchase Orders unreceived.

Xero Partially Paid Invoices: Based on user feedback, we have tweaked how invoices in transaction mode post to Xero. A partially paid invoice will pass the full amount to Xero, and the partial payment will be addressed there. We have also stopped passing line items with a value of 0.00 over.

Rental Rate Adjustment: The option of ‘Hold pricing on open contracts’ was grayed out when the effective date was set in the future. The restriction has been removed.

API Users: We have added several new fields for users connecting to our API. Stock: ModelYear and ModelNumber are available for POST/PATCH. PublicContract model: We have added AmountPaid. Consumer Work Orders can be created through the API endpoint from an outside app. Please refer to the full documentation here: https://api.pointofrental.com/docs

SQL Requirement for 2025:  In order to update to 2025, Elite users must have an SQL server version of 2016 or higher. If not, they cannot update to 2025 until that requirement is met. Worried this might be you? Don’t be. If it applies, we will have already been in contact with you and worked on a plan to move you forward.

Twilio Messaging: We have added a new integration with Twilio to facilitate SMS messaging in Elite. Users must have a Twilio account with a verified phone number. Once the account has been established, simply fill in the information under the API Configurations section in browser configurations, and the integration is ready to go. With this integration, the cell phone provider is not required to be filled in when setting up notifications. For more information see the article, Twilio Configuration.

Various Bug Fixes:  We implemented various changes to improve accuracy and user experience.

Mobile

These are updates for Elite users utilizing the POR One app.

Ready Tags In Progress - Now, users can easily see if a checklist is in progress when you have multiple members of your team completing Ready Tags. The item won’t be “ready” until the checklist is completed and will stay on the list but users will see an icon letting them know it’s in progress already and should they still click on it will be prompted to either view the existing incomplete tag or to start a new one.

Contract Search Zip (Post) Code - When searching for Contracts the Zip (Post) Code is a supported field and will show on the results when there is a match. And just like all of the other searchable fields, the Zip (Post) Code will be highlighted when found as a match on a Contract search.

Disabled Users Removed From Messaging - In Messaging, disabled users have been removed from the list of users when creating a new message or group message. If there is an existing conversation that will still exist but otherwise the users will be removed.

New Password Navigation - When setting a new password you will now be navigated to the log in screen so that you can enter the password and start using POR One again.

Consumer Work Orders:  Customer work orders are now able to be created from POR One.  This does require the user be on an advanced POR One license.  Please reach out to sales if you are interested in this feature.

eCommerce

These are updates that pertain to users who utilize the consumer portal and storefront platforms.

Basic/Advanced Users:

Logo URL Entry: We removed the URL entry for inputting the logo on the Admin Panel. Based on user feedback, this wasn’t necessary, as we do have a drop-and-drag feature available, and it was overwhelmingly more popular, so we made the logo upload much easier.

Advanced Users:

UI Updates: We modified the UI of the accordion layouts for call-offs so the accordions are easier to use. The backgrounds are more pronounced, so the categories are easier to read and then collapse. We also defaulted the sections of data to Open so all needed information is shown, but they can also be worked on one at a time.

Memory Lane Monday

This is a fun corner where we republish release notes from previous sprints you may have forgotten about.

From v2023.16 Release Notes

Multi-currency and Purchase Orders -  There have been two new updates to using multi-currency in purchase orders.  For those of you using Intacct, we are now passing both the base currency and the exchanged currency to allow you to pay the bill in Intacct with the currency of your choice.  Second, if you write a PO with an exchanged currency, you will now see the exchanged values in the invoice verification screen rather than the base currency values.

L2/L3 for Retrievals -  Passing additional information in the credit card transaction can result in lower fees from your credit card company.  This has been an option for our acquiring users to turn on for initial transactions.  It has now been enhanced to pass that additional information on follow-on transactions as well.
