Create Missing & Damaged Contracts from Fulfillment Discrepancies:
When not all items come back from a rental, it is necessary to manage these items on a new contract. This keeps them out of availability and allows operational procedures (like a pickup). A new ‘Create M&D’ button on the fulfillment tab of the contract opens a paged interface listing rental items with count discrepancies. Review and adjust quantities, mark items for asset sale if needed, select the operation and transaction type to identify them in filters/groupings, and optionally include additional items from the contract without count discrepancies before submitting. Saving generates a linked M&D contract with the appropriate open rental lines and/or asset sales, defaulted out for 7 days. Rental pricing is discounted 100%. The new contract inherits customer and address details and is accessible from Related Contracts. For more information see the article Missing and Damaged Contracts (M&D).
Quote API now sets expiration dates consistently:
When quotes are created via Unified Storefront or POR One, the API sets expiration dates to the contracts based on the quote expiration settings in parameters just as it would for a quote created in the counter system.
Contracts API supports GET/POST/PATCH for operation with validation:
The contracts endpoint now supports GET/POST/PATCH for the operation field and validates that the chosen operation is valid for the contract type, returning clear errors for mismatches. A lookup endpoint exposes all user‑defined operations for selection.
Transfer delay now applied to start and end in cross‑store availability:
When viewing another store’s inventory in Item Availability, the transfer delay is now subtracted from the out date and added to the return so availability reflects transit time both ways. For example, a 48‑hour rental with a 48‑hour transfer delay shows roughly 6 days of unavailability, helping you set accurate expectations.
Smarter overbooking for dynamic or rental package items:
When you confirm an overbook on a dynamic or rental package item, that choice auto‑applies to all overbooked components to avoid repeat prompts during the add to the contract, out‑date changes, or quantity updates.
Text a QuikLink from Reprint after modifying a contract:
After you save a modification, the Reprint option now pre‑populates key details so you can text a QuikLink directly from the reprint flow. This helps you quickly resend updated contract links to customers without re‑entering information.
Quote expiration updates consistently with clearer picker text:
Changing a quote’s date now recalculates the expiration to avoid conflicts, including after converting between quote and reservation and back. The date picker on a quote now prompts ‘Enter quote pickup date’ to make the action clearer. The logic has been tweaked to no longer expire a quote the day before if the quote falls within the expiration days. It will now expire the date of the quote.
Item Prep report shows Pickup for pickup‑only logistics tickets:
Logistics tickets marked for Pickup only now display as Pickup (not Will Call) on the Item Prep report. Delivery‑only tickets continue to display as Delivery, improving report accuracy for your prep teams.
Memory Lane Monday: This is a fun corner where we republish release notes from previous sprints you may have forgotten about.
Unverified Transactions and Storefront Transactions:
For our inside sales reps, we've added a new system view to the Contract Search called 'Unverified Transactions'. This view is specifically designed to gather up all those quotes created outside of Elite, like through your Storefront, that haven't been verified yet. Now you can quickly spot them, follow up with the customer, and turn those quotes into confirmed business! It's like having a dedicated inbox for leads that need your magic touch. This will not apply to quotes imported through a Rental Hosting storefront, as those already require a user to interact with them to import into the system. To learn more about unverified transactions, see the article Unverified Transactions.
Stripe Payout Reconciliation Magic at End of Day!:
Stripe users, we've heard you! Reconciling Stripe payouts can be tricky because fees are deducted before the money hits your bank. We've implemented a new feature that retrieves your Stripe payout details daily via an API. At the End of Day close, the system will now automatically create journal entries that account for the fees Stripe charged, moving the funds from a temporary "in transit" account to your bank account GL. This ensures your accounting records in the system match the net amount deposited by Stripe, making bank reconciliation much simpler and less manual. This will work for Stripe and any potential processor that deducts their fees before depositing the money to your account.
Extended Reservation Limit for Repeat Customers: Customers with more than 3 completed rentals can now make reservations up to 90 days in advance. Previously, all customers were limited to 30 days. No configuration is required; the expanded limit applies automatically based on rental history.
Itemized Payment Processing Fee on Checkout: The checkout screen now displays the payment processing fee as a separate line item, distinct from the rental total. The label for this fee is configurable per store. To set a custom label, contact your system administrator to update the store configuration settings.
