End of Day Processing
This article discusses End of Day Processing. This allows you to close your store to account for daily business activities. This article also explores how to find End of Day functions and End of Day Processing for Multi-Store organizations.

Multi-Store
Each store must perform End of Day Processing. All other terminals must exit out of ALL Point of Rental programs and remain at the Windows desktop. Each store will print the Transaction Summary and Operator Summary, perform Cash Drawer balancing, then print the Register Summary, Totals Reports, and Contract Status Reports. Store #1 will wait for all other stores to generate their Totals Report. Then it will print individual store and consolidated Totals Reports. The consolidated Totals report will print only at the main store; it will be identified as Store #999.
At end-of-month or end-of-year, store #1 will print the Item Income and/or Customer Income reports. The Item Income report will be separated by store # and will list the "home" items for each store. Those items that are defined as common to all stores (i.e., home store = "000") will be reported at store #1 only. The store totals and company totals will be reported.
You will not be allowed to use Point of Rental programs at other terminals until the End of Day Processing has been completed at store #1. This is necessary to prevent the other terminals from accessing the data files at critical times. It is very important that you make every effort to exit out of Point of Rental on all other terminals.
