How to Disable Storing Credit Card Tokens

Point of Rental supports disabling of saving card data, tokens, in two ways.

1. Disable saving of tokens storewide
2. Disable of saving tokens for specific customers

To disable saving tokens storewide:

1. Navigate to Program Menu > Configuration > Store Configurations > Parameters
2. Click the Drawer tab
3. Un-check Save Credit Card Info
4. Click OK to exit Parameters
5. Exit all users out of Point of Rental, then they can get back in

To disable the saving of tokens for specific customers:

1. Navigate to Program Menu > File Maintenance > Customer File
2. Search and open the desired customer record
3. Click the Account tab
4. Click Functions tab at the top > Modify
5. Check-box Don’t use historical numbers
6. Click OK to save and exit
