How to Remove Credit Card Tokens
Point of Renal supports two methods for removing a stored credit card token.
- Remove the credit card token from history from the customer record
- Remove the credit card token from history from a contract
Both result in the credit card token being removed from the customer’s record for future payments as well as from any existing contracts.
To remove the credit card token from the customer record:
- Navigate to Program Ma nu > File Maintenance > Customer File
- Search and open the desired customer record
- Click History > Payment History
- Right-click the credit card number you wish to remove from history and click “Remove the card from historical listing”
- Notice the “ ^ “ symbol is added to the end of the card’s masked PAN. This indicates the card’s token was successfully removed from history.
To remove the credit card token from a contract:
- Modify the contract
- Click the Payment History tab at the top
- Right-click the credit card number you wish to remove from history and click “Remove the card from historical listing”
- Notice the “ ^ “ symbol is added to the end of the card’s masked PAN. This indicates the card’s token was successfully removed from history.
Removing a Card from the Historical Listing
- Removing a card from historical keeps it available on the contract for refunds only, not for charges.
- Removing a card from a contract also removes it from the account, so both actions are not required.
