New Release Notes every three weeks!
| We are listening! Items with this label are a result of your suggestions in uInnovate. Please continue to share and support those ideas that help your business. | |
| Items with this label are features that may require adjustments to security or configuration and may have implications for your operations or current workflows. We recommend reading these and understanding the impact prior to updating. |
Add Fuel To Items from POR One: Inventory items with an open Contract can have fuel added right from the Inventory Details page in POR One that will then be updated on that Contract. We’ve cleaned this up so that the button is available when expected. Remember, that the inventory item must have an open contract, tank capacity set as well as a fuel item defined for this feature to be used.
Dynamic Minimums and Account Customers: An issue was exposed where account customers were being prompted for a deposit on contracts in the consumer portal. This has been corrected, as in what is consistent in counter system logic, account customers should never be prompted for deposits.
All Consumer Portal Users - Access for customer accounts set to ‘Individual’: We added additional lookups in the Consumer Portal to look at the primary email address for single user customers. Most customers just fill out the account information and don’t add themselves as a Contact in Elite. The API was only looking at the Contacts. So now ALL consumers, including customer records set to individual, can access the Consumer Portal without calling you for help.
Using Coordinate Addresses in POR One: Our mobile app now supports opening the mobile device map application (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze) with coordinates. This is great for rental stores that use Latitude and Longitude in the address field. Pro-tip: if you want to use another map application other than the device default, then set your preference on the Settings page. For example, Android users who prefer Waze or iOS users who prefer Google Maps. Press the cog in the top right of the home page and look for “Preferred Map App” to make a selection.
All Consumer Portal Users - Adjustments to the payment options page: We made some adjustments to the Payment Options Page to make it easier to understand and move directly to making a payment. It has a better layout and makes it easier for consumers to make payments. This applies to QuikLink and those who log in to the Consumer Portal to make payments.
All Consumer Portal Users - Adjustments to the login instructions when the email already exists: We made the instructions more customer-friendly when the user requests to add an account, but they already have one.
POR One Time Clock Enhancements: Time Clock was released in version 2025.04, and a few updates were made to make punching in/out a more seamless experience. This specifically improves punching in/out for operators who have only one store location and those who have no or only one group assigned.
Ready Status from POR One: When an item is marked ‘Ready’ in Elite, an edit is written to the item history. We are now writing the edit when the item is marked ‘Ready’ from POR One.
Advanced Consumer Portal Users - My Rentals default filter: We defaulted the filtering on the page load for the item list on My Rentals to Current. This will return the list of Current items out on rent when going to the page. Historical items are available by clicking the Historical filter.
Undiscounted Category Revenue: Traditionally, category income has been reported after the discounts have already been taken out of the total. However, certain users want the ability to report the undiscounted income and have the discounts given on a category report to a specific G/L. New G/L fields have been added on Account Numbers and the Category setup screens to accommodate this. Please see the uLearn article for more information.
Exclude Sales Tax from Depreciation: In certain areas, users that include extra charges in their inventory value want to exclude sales tax from that as it is expensed separately. There is now a configuration in the Systems area of browser configurations that will do just that. When enabled, it takes effect for the entire company.
Column Search: There is now a search function in the column selection screen from customizable grids. After pulling up the column edit screen, begin typing to bring the columns to the top of the list that fit your criteria. They can then easily be enabled/disabled without scrolling the entire list.
Account Payments Progress Indicator: We have added a progress box to the end of the account payments process. After the user applies payments and selects ‘Ok’, the program updates and finalizes all of the contract modifications. This can take a short amount of time or longer if many payments have been made. We have inserted a progress bar as a visual aid to the user to indicate where they are in the process. When the contracts have updated, it will take the user directly into the payment receipt screen.
Memory Lane Monday: This is a fun corner where we republish release notes from previous sprints you may have forgotten about.
V2024.06
Enhanced Column Selector: We have added some enhancements to make moving column selections easier. Right clicking on a column in the column modification screen will give the option to move the column to the top or the bottom. Holding ‘ctrl’ down and highlighting a column will allow the user to move the column up and down using the page up/down keys. Holding ‘ctrl’ down and clicking on the column will allow the user to drag and drop the column into the desired position. For more information on updating columns, see our article Contract Columns.
Record360: Record360 users can now configure their Point of Rental System to automatically email a CSV to Record360 to facilitate the update of their items. Users are given a choice of using the item key, item number, part number, or serial number and should choose the main identifier they use in Record360. Once this is selected, an automatic report can be set up to email at the desired interval. It should be set to email to the email address provided by Record360 to send these csv files to. Additionally, Record360 can be accessed from the item record. If a user without a Record360 account tries to access it, they will be taken to a demo URL for more information. For information on connecting Record 360 to POR Elite, see our article Linking Your Record360 Account With Your Elite System.
