New Release Notes every three weeks!

We are listening! Items with this label are a result of your suggestions in uInnovate. Please continue to share and support those ideas that help your business.
Items with this label are features that may require adjustments to security or configuration and may have implications for your operations or current workflows. We recommend reading these and understanding the impact prior to updating.

 Elite Cloud File Storage:

As we move Elite Cloud forward to a more modern platform, the storage of files that would otherwise happen on the server drive (for things like attachments, instructions, pictures, etc) will be moved to cloud storage. Users can access these records from a left menu option called ‘File Management’, which has its own security controls. Over the next several months, we will be migrating users in groups. An email will be sent out the day before your migration. For more information, please see the article File Storage in Elite.

Elite Transactions Now Time Zone Aware:

This update introduces initial support for transaction time zones. You can now opt into this functionality and assign a time zone to each of their stores in the System Configuration section of browser configuration.  A label depicting the time zone will then be displayed in both the contract processing screen at the top right and at the bottom of the printed contract format.  If a contract’s store is changed to one that has a different time zone, the user will be warned.  This is helpful for both customers and employees when reconciling times on a time zone line. To learn more, see the article Configure Store-Specific Time Zones in Elite.

Supercharged Storefront and Consumer Portal Integration:

We've been busy behind the scenes, giving our Unified Storefront and Consumer Portal a bit of a power-up! This update brings advanced integration capabilities, making the connection between your online storefront and consumer management even smoother and more efficient.

Your Privacy, Clearly Explained on Consumer Portal Registration:

We're committed to your privacy! To keep things crystal clear and compliant with GDPR, we've added a helpful message to the Consumer Portal registration screen. This message explains that when you sign up, we collect your email and IP address to prevent spam and auditing. You'll also find an option to accept our privacy terms, ensuring you're fully informed before registering. We've also included a setting for administrators to customize or toggle off this message if needed.

Now Accepting ALL the Cool Email Domains for Consumer Portal Sign-Ups!:

Good news for those with unique email addresses! We've updated the Consumer Portal to embrace all modern, valid email domains. So, whether your email ends in .construction, .solutions, .rentals, or any other RFC-compliant domain, you can now successfully register and log in to manage your rentals online. No more feeling left out – your email address is welcome here!

Keeping You Informed: Privacy on Consumer Portal Login:

Just like with registration, we're making sure you're always aware of your data. We've added a privacy information message to the Consumer Portal login screen, letting you know that we collect your email and IP address for essential reasons like preventing spam and maintaining audit trails. We'll even track whether you've acknowledged our privacy policy, ensuring a consistent and transparent experience every time you log in.

Easy hapn Access:

The left menu now has a new "Launch hapn" option for quick access to your GPS map. Security controls who can see and use it. This option will open the hapn web page so that you can log in and see the map of all hapn associated GPS devices. To learn more, see our article, "Hapn Integration."

A Friendly Heads-Up for Unified Storefront Availability Settings:

We've added a helpful little nudge when you're configuring availability display in your Unified Storefront. If you choose to show availability, you'll now see a message reminding you that this is currently a beta feature and might, just might, affect your website's performance. It's all about making sure you're aware of the potential impact to make the best decision for your storefront! This message only appears for USF users in external mode.

Background Image Uploads:

Good news! Your unsynced images will now upload in the background in POR One, ensuring a smoother experience without interrupting your app usage or slowing it down. It's all about making your experience smoother than a freshly paved road!

Never Miss an Update Again!:

Tired of being out of the loop with POR One? We've got your back! This update introduces a shiny new in-app notification system that will alert you whenever a new version of the app is available. No more guessing games! Depending on your device, you'll get a clear heads-up and a direct link to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, making updates a breeze.

Better Tax Reporting with Vertex:

Elite now sends all relevant custom fields to Vertex for more accurate and detailed tax calculations, including damage waivers, item percentages, and other contract field values. This was already occurring for the different contract values. This is available to Vertex users using the Vertex v2 integration and the enhanced flex fields. For more information, see our article Vertex Enhanced Flex Fields.

Special Rates for Credit Card Fees:

You can now set special credit card fee rates for specific customers, allowing for discounts or exemptions.  The special rate must be set in the sell price field on the special rate screen.  That value corresponds to the percentage that will be charged. To exempt a customer, enter 0.00.

Rouse Rates & Sales Adjustments:

New options are now available in the Rental Rate Adjustment Tool. Sales Adjustment lets you update sales item prices in this tool. The Rouse Rates option allows you to update the book rates on rental items with the Rate Average pulled from Rouse. The other options in this screen for filtering, holding pricing, etc., apply to these two new options for the rental rate adjustment. To learn more about rate adjustments, see our article Data Management Tools | Rate Adjustment.

Rates Update Automatically:

Item base rates update instantly in Elite after you change them; no more refreshing is needed.

Faster Samsara Sync:

If you use Samsara GPS, you can now get updates on your fleet as often as every minute for near real-time tracking. The configuration has been updated to accept a one-minute interval, and you will need to set it there to utilize this. To learn more about our Samsara integration, see our article,  Samsara Integration.

uInnovate Fields Fixed:

The missing input boxes in uInnovate within PORBrowser.exe are back so that you can submit your ideas without issue.

Stock API Smarter:

You can now add and update hour meter and fuel tank capacity information for items directly through the Stock API, reducing manual entry.

Memory Lane Monday

This is a fun corner where we republish release notes from previous sprints you may have forgotten about. These release notes are from 2024.12.

Internal Repair Orders for Serialized Items:

Your kids are big fans of IROs. You love them so much that you like to open 4 or 5 for the same item at the same time. The downside was that the quantity out increased by one for each IRO, making the quantity out value inaccurate. We tried to address this in the past by forcing the user to create IMOs for the item after the initial IRO was created.  But this was not popular.  Dare we say- it was as unpopular as any character Anthony Michael Hall played in the 80s. Moving forward, a serialized item can be on as many IROs as your shop staff desires. Still, it will only ever show out with a quantity of one in item availability or overbooking.

Fuel From POR One:

Fuel that is input into the pickup driver task of POR One will now be automatically added to the contract in Elite rather than just being attached as a call log.  In POR One, the fuel input will either be a user input box or a slider that can be manipulated if the item has a fuel capacity entered on its options tab.
